I was feeling low,
then I played this,
now I feeling so high

Thank You Jack

Happy Birthday

Really solid gameplay and design, really packs some fun precision platforming later on.
Looks and sounds fantastic for the style.

Was really worth making it to the end.

my only dislikes:
The time in-between boss attacks could feel like ages , which made retrying the fight feel like a real slog, it would literally just sit there for what felt like 5 or 6 seconds doing nothing interesting before attacking (it also felt longer the more retries it took) . This felt even further compounded by how many cycle it takes to defeat the boss, feeling like it overstayed its welcome in terms of health.

Been playing platform games my whole life and love the work here mechanically.
Though Some of the late game platforming felt more annoying then clever in terms of challenge.
It ramps pretty fast and in a way that could put some off, it almost made me give up in annoyance but got through because I wanted to see what this game had in store. Was worth it.

Overall really rad and runs well, will keep an eye on this one :D

Thanks for sharing and best wishes on your development journey.

Thanks you very much!! I'll soon be releasing a new version with some bug fixes and improvements(especially the waiting time for boss attacks xD)

Looks and sounds great, the style is cool. the progression/ onboarding is really good at the beginning (though its a bit frustrating not being able to skip the recording if you accidently enter the wrong command or reset game).

Made it to the first hall on the right after the dark room(which was a bit elusive to find), there the game glitched out, made some awful repeating loud noises (clearly stuck in am ∞ loop or something), this froze my browser.

No problem, I wasn't too far along anyhow, and the game looks cool enough to try again.
Unfortunately, had the same problem on the second play at the exact same moment.

Prior to that moment it ran well, I considered downloading the standalone version but my gut+logic tells me that both builds are likely to have the same bug and I'd rather not crash my computer +current work session to find out.

This build looks good but wished I could get further.
Thank you for sharing and keep at it

***SPOILERS*** BEOLOW
Specifically it seemed to be the monster/paranormal encounter trigger or when it activated but it was never visible when the screen froze. The game didn't freeze when transitioning the view to the hall though, specifically it seemed to be when the thing attacked because of the sounds the game made. Sounded like it was trying to play the sound on every tick or something

CrudeWax responds:

Please try the standalone version as it tends to be way more stable, thanks for the feedback!

Really dug the idea and concept, good execution. Cool checkpoint system and love the sound design! Thanks for sharing this game :D

Literally one of the most charming things I have ever played lol. More soul in one of flamingos legs then in most AAA tittles these days lmao. Clever level design for the elegant little stages, no clutter, perfect tutorial and some of the most spot on humor. Intuitive design and fun, thank you for sharing this :D

interesting concept, but the intake questionnaire gave me hope the game would lift my down spirits and by the end it kinda had a bit of the opposite going on lol. I think its interesting and really important a game be about a feeling or like trying to capture one, and depression is a good one to explore, but for me at least, it feels more constructive and helpful to at least live in a little light in the dark, this project was surprisingly dark and moody atmosphere with such minimal assets, which is really impressive but the feeling overall did feel like a bit of a drag, so mission accomplished idk.. haha its great art for sure. Wanted to give it another go but honestly was concerned it might just bum me out even more unintentionally haha. Keep exploring these novel ideas though, really interesting stuff.

10/10 Concept and exucution for what turns out to be a game jam game. Really fun idea and having the stakes turn out to be so visceral was really cool. Actually made it feel tense, with some serious attention to the writing , theme (this would be sick as one of those low science fiction "Normal teen saves their hometown from XYZ" type deals, like ya knosw stranger things etc, give the main characters some buddies who drop clues and what not, get some real goonies/earthbound vibes + layer on some comedy, this could be a full game I think some people could really get behind. Killer work for a concept build.

I didn't mean to waste all the water...

I had fun 360 no scope watering the plants while jumping with what must be my crazy legs.

Clever inversion of expectations across the board.

A premium lo-fi video game experience, thank you.

Almost lost me at the start, having not scrolled to the bottom it wasn't clear what the game was about so my first instinct was to try the keyboard, which checked out and panned the camera, then I tried clicking around the screen, no luck >_> hmm, scroll, scroll, nothing to click on the map...odd. What was I missing... I had no idea for a long moment and considered moving on, that maybe it was just was the whole game, some dirt and Sun... the sun. I tried clicking on the sun, then try dragging it and that was a fun moment to discover it naturally. Not sure if is meant to be a bit vague and found like that, if so, that's a fun idea for some but not most (many are too impatient to not be directly clearly on where to go). Fortunately I was patient and curious enough from the nice cover art to proceed, find it and start the main game loop which is really good! Very meditative which is nice but could use some more music, I was already sleepy when I started but it almost put me to bed after a bit the track. A cascading effect of flowers/effects/seeds any some sort of chaining/escalating progression would be great or adding mixing elements like water, to give a little more. It does feel like it could just use one more thing mechanically but not sure what. The look is charming and the growing animations are well done. A mode to just paint, undo, reset without refreshing would be nice so players can paint better grass motifs then mine: https://imgur.com/a/o7NHGtQ .

Love the idea of this, so calming and meditative, creative concept!

Cute game, no clue what's going on due to the language being unknown to me but I had a fun trying to figure out what was going on, and fun is my defacto goal lol. Charming look and music, maybe could use more universal symbols to communicate core of the game to broaden the reach w/o language localization. Keep up the good work :D

jorgeRoku responds:

Thanks for the feedback, im really glad you had fun. Sorry for th inconvenience with the language this is a small college proyect done in a few weeks so it isnt very polished.

Thank you for reading this.
